Retaining walls we build

The right wall depends on the height, the soil, the look you want and the budget. We'll recommend the best option for your site.

“Matt and his team did a great job including retaining walls, steps, a small platform, and drainage. They listened to what we wanted but also provided good advice and made some helpful suggestions. A pleasure to deal with.”

Retaining wall questions

Which type of retaining wall is best?

It depends on the height, the soil, access and the look you want. Concrete sleepers suit long runs and budgets, besser block suits taller structural walls, and sandstone or stone cladding gives a premium finish. We'll recommend the right option on site.

Do you build to engineering?

Yes. Our walls are built to engineered specifications, and we hold a structural licence (Lic. 352076C).

Why does drainage matter?

Water pressure behind a wall is the most common reason walls lean or fail. We install geofabric, ag lines, gravel backfill and drainage pits so water gets away.

Can you do the rest of the yard too?

Yes. We regularly combine retaining walls with steps, paving, turf and planting as part of a full landscape renovation.
